About the Author
Mark R. McCallum was born and raised in the South. Drawn to the notion that there was more in heaven and earth than dreamt of in any philosophies, Revelation became his favorite book in the Bible. Mark soon discovered Stephen King, but also poured through mysteries by Robert B. Parker, fantasy by Terry Brooks and J.R.R. Tolkien and Sci-fi by Frank Herbert. He also devoured biographies and sports books galore. His love of baseball steered him toward a career as a sportswriter and later online content producer, but he always felt a compulsion to find the why behind the unknown, to turn over a stone and see what sprang from the underside, to enter an abandoned house and conjure reasons for the vacancy. Without a leash on his imagination, he presently resides in Covington, Ga. with his pet gargoyles, Calvin & Hobbes. There, he works on his next novel, notes how the supernatural touches our daily lives and smiles at what lurks in the darkness.
